The Covidien Filac 3000 Oral/Axillary Probe is a replacement probe for your Filac 3000 thermometer and is designed for use with the Edan M3 Vital Signs Monitor (NIBP, SpO2, and Covidien Oral Temp) and the Edan iM3 Vital Sign Monitor.

Covidien Filac 3000 Oral/Axillary Probe Features

  • Available in 4 or 9 inch sizes.
  • Blue color distinguishes that the probe is for oral/axillary (under arm) measurements.
  • For oral temperatures - insert the probe tip deep into the mouth, next to the vertical fold of tissue in middle of tongue on one side or the other toward the back of the mouth.
  • For axillary temperatures - have the patient raise their arm, then place the probe tip in the axilla. Press gently to assure solid contact. For the most accurate temperature measurement the probe tip should be placed directly against the patient's skin.
  • Responses are available in 4-6 seconds for oral measurements and 10-15 seconds for axillary measurements.
  • Temperature accuracy is +/- 0.3° C for oral measurements and +/- 0.1° C for axillary measurements.
